Position: Pharmacist
Location: TMH, Parel, Mumbai
Employment Type: Full-time / Contract (as per hospital norms)
Shifts: May include night shifts / rotational duties – candidates should be prepared for shift work. T.M.C.+1
Key Responsibilities
- Dispensing medications and preparing pharmaceutical products within the hospital pharmacy unit.
- Ensuring accurate interpretation of prescriptions and patient medication requirements.
- Maintaining pharmaceutical stock – managing inventory, expiry monitoring, and storage protocols.
- Working on a computerized pharmacy system (desirable experience). T.M.C.+1
- Collaborating with doctors, nurses and other health-care staff to ensure safe, effective medication therapy.
- Maintaining regulatory compliance, documentation and registration requirements with the State Pharmacy Council.
- Upholding the highest standards of professional ethics and patient care.
Eligibility / Qualifications
- Essential: B.Pharm (Bachelor of Pharmacy) with minimum 1 year of experience in hospital dispensary/pharmacy, OR D.Pharm (Diploma in Pharmacy) with minimum 3 years of hospital dispensary/pharmacy experience. T.M.C.+1
- Registered with the State Pharmacy Council, with an allotted registration number. T.M.C.+1
- Experience of working in a hospital with at least 200 beds is desirable. PharmaTutor+1
Desirable Skills & Attributes
- Comfortable working with computerized inventory / dispensing systems. T.M.C.
- Ability to work efficiently in shifts including nights. T.M.C.+1
- Good communication skills, team-spirit and high level of responsibility.
- Strong attention to detail: avoiding medication errors, controlling stock expiry, ensuring safe patient counseling.
Remuneration & Age Limit (Indicative)
- Earlier postings at TMH indicate a monthly remuneration range of ~ ₹18,000 to ₹25,000 (depending on qualification & experience) for Pharmacist roles. Freshersworld+1
